We can help surgeons achieve better outcomes for several types of surgeries

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ny surgery involves risk to the patient, but this is especially true for procedures that involve the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), peripheral nerves and the vessels that feed them blood. However, it has become standard to monitor the central nervous system during surgery through a process called Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM). This helps to ensure patient safety as well as provide valuable real-time guidance and feedback to the attending physician. Because of the success of IONM in improving neurosurgical outcomes, neuromonitoring is now standard of care for many other types of surgeries as well including but not limited to orthopedic, cardiovascular, peripheral nerve, pain and ENT procedures.

Revolution Monitoring’s multi-modality IONM approach provides additional benefits to the patient. We prevent loss of limb function by constant motor and sensory testing of all extremities. In addition, through real-time monitoring of brain wave activity (EEG), we reliably guide anesthesiologists in order to ensure patients are truly unconscious and anesthetized in any given surgical procedure. Revolution Monitoring is also used to prevent loss or impairment of vision, hearing, touch, or movement and can detect a stroke or brain ischemia as it occurs.
